Founder

Gabrielle Burgess-Smith, Head Publicist of PR Girl Gabby, is not only a connected powerhouse in the PR world, but a high-spirited, philanthropic mentor, who has a heart for giving back.

At the age of 18, Gabrielle became a dedicated businesswoman, establishing her own public relations company. For the past few years her business has successfully spread throughout Midwest Michigan to Southern Georgia. She calls it painting the states “pink”- hence her brand uses the color abundantly and very tastefully. She has worked with iconic individuals, including a television reality star, a retired Fox 2 news anchor, an award-winning author, and an on-air radio personality, amongst others.

Having received professional training in her craft of public relations, Gabrielle earned a bachelor’s degree with Honors in the field of PR and Political Science from the esteemed Eastern Michigan University. If that’s not enough, Gabrielle has a double Master's in Communication and Marketing Management and is a professionally published scholar contributing knowledge to her field. She also carries the title of “PR Student of the Year” from her beloved university.

Her most prized achievement is being featured in a half-million dollar commercial that was televised on major television networks including FOX and MTV and also shown during the 2017 Super Bowl.

In addition to social media, public relations, and media relations, it must also be noted that Gabrielle has a knack for event planning - working with small and large-budget events. She planned and hosted a large budgeted $50,000 concert featuring Broadway and Las Vegas dancers. On the contrary, she also planned and hosted a conference with a zero-based budget, but accumulated over $10,000 in sponsorships and donations as well as secured guest speakers from an Oxygen network television show for the conference.

Gabrielle has proven herself to be not only a tactful planner, social guru, and incredible wordsmith, but also a creative strategist. She formulated a PR Plan focusing on the reconstructing of Detroit that was spotlighted on WXYZ Channel 7 news.

Gabrielle considers public relations a lifestyle and not just a profession. However, in her leisure, she hand-crochets afghans for hospitalized cancer patients. With each blanket made, she inserts a small tag in the corner of the blanket that reads an uplifting quote or bible scripture.

She lives a very active lifestyle often attending yoga, and spin classes with her sister-friends, just so they can feast guilt-free afterwards. In the summertime she loves having bonfire parties in her backyard and going on camping adventures with her mother, grandmother, and Chihuahua and Yorkie pups.

“The present is a gift, and I just want to BE.” Quoting lyrics to one her favorite poetic lyricists, Gabrielle has strong conviction in believing, “The joy I find in taking on a client and promoting them through creative tactics is a feeling lips cannot form to express. The joy I find in writing is unfathomable to comprehend with even the greatest of six senses. My goal is to share Truth through written and technological artifact with the past, present, and future. It is my gift.”

Gabrielle has proven herself to be a woman of integrity and a one-stop publicist with guaranteed client elevation.
